We got in to the hotel Saturday morning the 28th at 7am after getting off a 12 day cruise. We were exhausted. The girl at the front desk found us a room available at 7am which was totally amazing. She hooked us up with the hotel breakfast that opened at 7:30am. We checked into our room which was really big and comfortable, then headed up for breakfast. The food was fabulous and just what we needed. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It was quiet, comfortable, and very clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is pretty close to good food and shops as well. I wish I remember the front desk girl's name, but she was an angel. She arranged a cab for us for the airport the next morning which was there right when she said it would be. Actually, it was a bit early.

Good place,súper friendly staff specially Judith in the rooftop was amazing and attentive.She help us a lot to have a great tapas bar in Barcelona.Having a very nice view and even better service just made our trip memorable. Thanks again Hotel Rec we will be back.

Fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. Very close to The Gothic Quarter and La Sagrada Familia. The staff was very helpful including Genis at the front desk. They have a wonderful rooftop bar for breakfast and cocktails at night. Enric the manager and Marta made the evenings very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy Barcelona!

Rooms were clean, but oddly designed. The shower was all glass and open to see in. The bathroom mirror was designed to move to cover the shower. Except ours would barely move. I was sharing the room with a friend. So we basically had to advert our eyes whenever one of us would shower. The bathroom wasn’t its own separate room and it was annoying. The toilet at least had a door, but no fan. The room did not have a fridge. I had to ask for ice daily, to keep a refrigerated medication cold. The rooftop bar was only open until 9! We wanted to come back after sightseeing all day and have a drink, only to find out it closed super early. The views are fantastic from the rooftop bar. Adults only hotel was nice. There was a free beer tasting and cocktail making class. We made friends with other travelers. We arrived early and the room was not ready. They did have a secured, locked area for us to store our luggage until the room was available.

I have been intending to write a review about my experience staying at Hotel Rec since staying in January. This was absolutely my favorite place that I stayed while I was traveling through Catalonia for 16 days. I only had the chance to stay at the hotel Rec for a few days, but now I know it and it holds a special place in my heart! The accommodation's clean minimalist design is very chic and inviting, the huge King sized bed was so comfortable. I really loved the rooftop bar and dining area with great views of the city. The thing that stood out for me most, however, were the hotel Staff. Enric behind the bar was so warm and kind to me as I was traveling solo. He really made my vacation that much better with his empathetic kind demeanor, good conversation in Spanish and he also made me the weaker but still delicious version of Aperol Spritz which I was after! The manager, Paramjot, came to my breakfast table in the morning after a large party happened close to my room the night before. I was very happy at the hotel, but when he asked me if I had slept comfortably and I was honest and said that my proximity to the party made sleep a challenge, I was blown away by Paramjot's immediate responsiveness to me. I wasn't angry or anything, but Patamjot moved me to my lower floor room and all the way to a penthouse suite with a lovely terrace and incredible view. This place is absolutely the best of the best of the best because of their generosity of spirit and simple kindness. Thank you, hotel Rec! You made my trip so much better!
